ADVISORY - PITTSBURGH - Shapiro-Davis Administration to Turn on Point State Park Fountain on April 7 and Highlight $3.4 Million in Park Upgrades

Lieutenant Governor Austin Davis, Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) Secretary Cindy Adams Dunn, Allegheny County Executive Sara Innamorato, City of Pittsburgh Mayor Corey O'Connor, and Visit Pittsburgh President and CEO Jerad Bachar will highlight $3.4 million in upgrades to Point State Park in 2025 and turn on the iconic Point State Park fountain for the season - nearly a month ahead of schedule.

Following remarks, the fountain will officially begin flowing. Typically turned on during the first week of May to coincide with the Pittsburgh Marathon, the fountain will begin operations early this year in preparation for major events in 2026, including the NFL Draft and the nation's 250th anniversary. Park staff will begin testing the fountain on April 3.
