Date of receipt for campaign’s joint fundraising and conduit contributions

When a campaign receives a transfer of proceeds from a joint fundraiser, it reports the date it received that transfer from the joint fundraising representative (JFR). Any contributions that require itemization-for example, individual contributions aggregating over $200 per cycle-are disclosed as memo entries using the date the JFR received the contribution from the contributor. Contributions received through a conduit are disclosed using the date the conduit received the contribution from the contributor. In this case, the campaign uses a memo entry to identify the conduit and to disclose the date it received the contribution(s) from the conduit. Detailed reporting examples on joint fundraising transfers and contributions received through conduits are available.
