Sustainability Summit for the Credit Union Industry

Next month, United Nations Federal Credit Union (UNFCU) will host the 7th Annual United in Sustainability Summit for the Credit Union Industry in New York City. Summit organizers emphasize that credit unions, with their strong community focus, are uniquely positioned to drive positive change by fostering climate-resilient, economically empowered, and inclusive communities.

Notable presenters include representatives from the Filene Research Institute and Inclusiv. Additionally, Carlos Calderon, CEO of DC-based OAS FCU, will be featured as a panelist.The agenda highlights key topics such as integrating sustainability into strategic priorities, the role of digital payments in climate adaptation, and advancing financial inclusion.

More than 100 credit unions actively participate in the United in Sustainability (UIS) Network, founded by UNFCU, which equips credit unions with the tools and resources to support sustainable development goals.

The Summit, a hybrid event taking place on October 23-24 at the United Nations, offers free registration.
