Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October allows us to pause and recognize the courage of those who have faced breast cancer, those who are fighting it today, and the survivors who continue to inspire us.
As a law enforcement and public safety family, we understand the importance of standing together during difficult times. This month, we stand with the women and men whose lives have been affected by breast cancer, as well as the families, friends, caregivers and healthcare professionals who support them.
I encourage everyone to take a moment this month to focus on your health, talk with your healthcare provider, know your risks and stay current with recommended screenings.
At GCSU Public Safety, we believe that serving our community means more than responding when something happens. It means caring about the people we serve and supporting one another when life presents its greatest challenges.
To those fighting: keep fighting. To those who have survived: we celebrate you. To those we have lost: we remember you. And to those standing beside someone they love: we stand with you.
