Pfizer Racks Up Awards for Podcast, MoreUpdates & StatementsTechnology • • •

Earlier this month, Pfizer released the latest season of our flagship podcast, Science Will Win. Ranking among the top 1% of all podcasts, Science Will Win's fifth season explores four exciting medical technologies and provides another collection of informative, provocative content around science and pharma.

Award-winning content, as a matter of fact! Today we're delighted to share some of the accolades that Science Will Win's fourth season recently received.

At the MM+M awards, the medical marketing industry's premier awards program for over two decades, Science Will Win took home the top prize for Use of Podcasting 2025. MM+M commended Pfizer for "expanding its coverage of artificial intelligence, taking listeners on a journey through the past, present and future of AI in drug discovery" and leveraging innovating storytelling methods to take advantage of the increasing popularity of the medium.

The results speak volumes: over 2 million downloads, a 20% increase in average episode downloads, and a spot in the Apple Podcasts U.S. Top 10 in the Life Sciences category. Judges praised the campaign for its "creative approach, cultural relevance, and outsized impact."

Science Will Win was also recognized by the Signal Awards, where it won the Gold Award for Brand Storytelling in the Science and Education space, as well as the Hermes Creative Awards (Gold for Best Podcast Series), the w3 Awards (General Series - Healthcare & Pharmaceutical Podcast, and Features - Best Branded Podcast or Segment) and the Digiday Awards (Best Audio Campaign).

In addition to taking home podcast honors, MM+M also recognized Pfizer's unbranded campaign to raise awareness about RSV vaccination among older adults - a group often unaware of their risk. Pfizer partnered with actor Ernie Hudson and reframed RSV vaccination as a way to help prevent the disease via humorous, tongue-in-cheek content across social and earned media. Judges awarded Pfizer's "Rated RSV" campaign with Best Use of Influencer Marketing, and called it "almost naughty - just the right amount of humor to pull viewers in, yet still get the RSV message across."

Pfizer continues to get the message of scientific innovation across by any means necessary and via multiple formats, including the much-celebrated Science Will Win Podcast, which launched season 5 earlier this month. Tune in wherever you get your podcasts!
