The construction plans were drawn up by our long-standing training manager Siegmar Teske. Together with trainees Severin Hilger, Marc Grübel and Jolina Wewers, he turned the idea into reality. A particularly clever feature is that the boat is designed so that it can not only be rowed in the traditional way, but also has space for a small outboard motor - making it a hybrid between a rowing boat and a motorboat.
In terms of pure working time, our trainees invested around three weeks in the construction. In doing so, they demonstrated not only their craftsmanship, but also their team spirit, organisational skills and ability to work together to bring a project to a successful conclusion, from planning to completion. It is precisely these experiences that make training at BAVARIA so valuable - because they prepare the next generation of boat builders for their tasks in a practical way.
Incidentally, the rowing boat will find its future home in Franconia: a BAVARIA employee can look forward to this unique boat, which will henceforth be sailing on an idyllic Franconian lake.
