San Miguel County - Beginning Monday, March 23, Williams Construction will be performing road work on Colorado Highway 145 at Mile Point 71, just west of the Society Turn Roundabout. To accommodate future traffic patterns, the road will be widened to allow for a new right-hand turn lane including acceleration and deceleration lanes. Construction will include shoulder work, pavement widening and fresh paint striping.
Work will be completed with minimal delays to the traveling public. Motorists are urged to slow down and watch for heavy equipment.
This access improvement project is for a private development being funded by Genesee Properties, Inc. The design and construction is permitted and overseen by CDOT traffic and safety staff. The work is expected to be completed by early September.
