Rep. Beth Camp Appointed Chair of the House Committee on Judiciary Juvenile

ATLANTA - House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington) recently appointed State Representative Beth Camp (R-Concord) to serve as chair of the House Committee on Judiciary Juvenile.

"As someone who has spent many years advocating for children in many roles, it is a profound honor to serve as chair of the House Judiciary Juvenile Committee," said Rep. Camp. "My dear friend and colleague, the late Representative Mandi Ballinger, was a remarkable mentor, and I intend to honor her legacy by addressing the issues facing children and families with the same depth, compassion and steadfast commitment she exemplified. I am humbled by this appointment and deeply grateful to Speaker Burns for the trust he has placed in me."

Formerly known as Children and Youth, the House Committee on Judiciary Juvenile was recreated to serve more as a judiciary committee over juvenile related issues.
