China Coast Guard and Indonesia Coast Guard hold 1st High Level Meeting in Beijing

BEIJING, Jan. 11 -- At the invitation of China Coast Guard (CCG), an Indonesia Coast Guard (Bakamla) delegation, led by Vice Admiral TNI Dr. Irvansyah, visited China from January 7 to 11.

During the period, both sides held the First China Coast Guard and Bakamla RI High Level Meeting in Beijing. CCG Director Major General Yu Zhong and Bakamla Vice Admiral TNI Dr. Irvansyah attended the meeting. The two sides reviewed the previous cooperation results, conducted in-depth exchanges on conducting pragmatic cooperation in various fields such as regular meetings at all levels, mutual ship visits and capability building, reached broad and important consensus, and signed the minutes of meeting.

This meeting is a concrete measure to implement the Joint Statement Between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Indonesia reached on November 9, 2024. The two sides agreed on further deepening maritime pragmatic cooperation, commonly safeguarding maritime security and order, properly handling maritime disputes, so as to play active roles in bringing the China-Indonesia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership to a higher level.

After the meeting, the Bakamla delegation visited some CCG units and ships in Guangzhou City of south China's Guangdong Province.
