ESSINGTON ROAD CLOSURE FROM GALENA DRIVE TO ADESSO LANE TO BEGIN AUGUST 26, 2025Post Date:08/20/2025 9:43 AM Joliet, IL - As part of the Essington Road Water Main Improvements project, modifications to the water system must be made at the Com Ed crossings along Essington Road. The work to complete the water main modifications is scheduled to begin the morning of August 26, 2025. This work will require a full road closure on Essington Road between Galena Drive and Adesso Lane. A detour will be in place during construction. Drivers are encouraged to seek alternative routes for the duration of the work. The road is anticipated to be reopened on September 2, 2025. We appreciate your patience and ask that you drive slowly and cautiously through any construction zone.
