NCUA Holds Board Meeting Thursday
The NCUA Board will hold its next Boarding Meeting on Thursday, September 18 at 10 am. According to the agenda released by the agency, a briefing on the Share Insurance Quarterly Report will be presented. The NCUA's remaining 2025 meetings have been marked "tentative." NCUA Chairman Kyle Hauptman remains the sole board member.
Meantime, the Department of Justice argued in a Friday court filing that there is no language in the Federal Credit Union Act restricting the President from removing board members Todd Harper and Tanya Otsuka.
The two were fired in April and filed a lawsuit seeking reinstatement. Their reply brief is due October 3, with the government's response due October 17.
