A lively barn dance, live music, good food and a joyful Harvest Praise service brought the community together at The Salvation Army in Chesterton for a weekend of celebration and thanksgiving.
The Salvation Army in Chesterton marked this year's harvest with a special weekend of festivities, bringing people together for an evening of music, dancing and food before continuing the celebrations with a Harvest Praise service.
The weekend began on Saturday 3 October with a lively Barn Dance and Live Band evening, featuring Alf Alfa & The Wild Oats. Guests enjoyed an evening of music and dancing alongside a hearty jacket potato supper, creating a warm and celebratory atmosphere at Chesterton Salvation Army.
The event was followed on Sunday 4 October by a special Harvest Praise service, giving the church and wider community an opportunity to come together in thanksgiving and reflect on the blessings of the harvest.
The celebrations reflected the traditional spirit of harvest while providing an opportunity for people of all ages to enjoy fellowship, music, food and community.
