ROCK HILL, SOUTH CAROLINA - Four alumni will become Winthrop University ambassadors as they serve for the first time on the Winthrop University Alumni Executive Board.
Christina Alexander '05, Bob Bazemore '85, James Hammond '88 and Tadean Page '18 will serve a three-year term, which began on July 1. They will partner with the Alumni Association to connect with more than 66,000 Eagle alumni.
Alumni Relations Executive Director Lori Tuttle said she is looking forward to working with the new members. "Each one brings a special skill set and perspective that will be a welcomed addition to the board," Tuttle said. "We look forward to hearing their ideas about encouraging alumni engagement."
Sandra Daws '85, '25, Jim Thrift '86, Scott Melton '04 and Valida Foster '04 recently rolled off the board after finishing their terms. The executive board meets three times a year as the governing body of Winthrop alumni and to oversee the transaction of Alumni Association business.

*Christina Alexander majored in integrated marketing communication and lives in Washington, D.C. She is the vice president of development and philanthropy for the United Way of the National Capital Area.
*Bob Bazemore majored in interior design and resides in Savannah, Georgia, where he is the owner of J. Robert Bazemore Inc. The university's newly developed interior design center, located at The Thread, is named in his honor.
*James Hammond majored in computer science and mathematics and lives in Rock Hill. He retired from Winthrop where he was associate vice president and chief information officer, and then worked for the Carolina Panthers. He was granted emeritus status as assistant professor of computer science in 2025.
*Tadean Page majored in individualized studies and community-based learning leadership studies and lives in Washington, D.C. He is the owner of Ascend Solutions, which is a social impact firm that specializes in empowering mission-driven organizations and businesses to scale their community engagement and social impact initiatives.
