On a special night for wingers, debuts, and records, Oskar Pietuszewski scored the fastest goal in the history of Estádio do Dragão, William Gomes made it 2-1 in the 90+1 minute, and Terem Moffi closed the scoring in the 90+8 minute. With this hard-fought and well-deserved victory over FC Arouca, FC Porto remains alone at the top of the league with 65 points after 24 rounds.
Francesco Farioli started Jakub Kiwior, recovered from injury, and moved Pablo Rosario up to replace the banned Alan Varela, but it was the returning Oskar Pietuszewski who began to write the story of the game. Just 13 seconds in, after a long ball from Diogo Costa, Victor Froholdt crossed to the far post and the Polish winger only had to tap in to score his first goal in blue and white, beating Gabri Veiga's record against OGC Nice (18 seconds) and becoming the fastest goal scorer ever at Estádio do Dragão - as well as the youngest foreigner to score for FC Porto.
In the 17th minute, while the stands sent a message of support to Borja Sainz, Alberto Costa found Froholdt inside the area, but the Danish midfielder's shot hit the post. Shortly after, Pietuszewski tested Arruabarrena's reflexes again, but Deniz Gül failed to convert the rebound. The one-way street remained the same until halftime, and despite numerous attempts by the Dragons the score remained unchanged (1-0).
At the start of the second half, the visitors also hit the bar, and it was only after Rodrigo Mora, William Gomes, and Terem Moffi came on for Gabri Veiga, Oskar Pietuszewski, and Deniz Gül that the score was levelled (1-1).
In André Miranda's first game for the first team, Seko Fofana replaced Pablo Rosario, was tackled inside the area, and William Gomes made no mistake when he was called to take the penalty kick after regular time (2-1). Assisted by the number 7, eight minutes after the 90th minute, Terem Moffi closed the scoring to the delight of the 41,090 fans present at Estádio do Dragão (3-1).
