Gresham Police share passing of police K-9 Leni

It is with a heavy heart that we share the unexpected passing of police K-9, Leni.

Leni was a five-year-old German Shepherd who, throughout her career, worked tirelessly to keep the citizens of Gresham safe while supporting countless public safety operations. Her contributions to our department and our community will not be forgotten.

The bond between a dog handler and their K-9 partner is unique and profound. These teams train, work, and live together every day. They develop a trust and companionship that extends far beyond the job. The loss of a K-9 partner is deeply felt, both personally and professionally.
