Detectives Investigate Stabbing

Detectives from the Gaithersburg Police Department - Investigative Section are investigating a stabbing that occurred in the 400 block of S. Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg.

On Monday, March 16, 2026, at approximately 11:38 a.m., officers from the Gaithersburg Police Department and Montgomery County Police - 6th District responded to the 400 block of S. Frederick Avenue for the report of a stabbing that just occurred. Officers located two juvenile male victims suffering from lacerations. Officers and residents provided medical aid on the juvenile male victims until Fire and Rescue personnel arrived. The victims were then transported to a local hospital with critical but non-life-threatening injuries.

The motive for the stabbing is unknown at this time. This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
