NTCA Urges Measured Approach to BDS Reform

(November 18) In comments addressing an FCC proposal to detariff business data services rates, NTCA encouraged a measured approach that promotes greater adoption of incentive regulation and detariffing on a market-based voluntary basis. NTCA stated that the FCC's goal of reducing regulatory burdens is laudable; however the current framework already drives investment in rural areas by providing assurance for smaller providers.
