ARROYO GRANDE, CA - The City of Arroyo Grande is pleased to announce the launch of its refreshed and redesigned website, www.arroyogrande.org, following a redesign process in partnership with CivicPlus. The new website features a modern design, improved navigation, and several tools that make it easier for community members, businesses, and visitors to access City services and information.
One of the key updates to the site is the new Popular Resources section, which highlights frequently accessed information based on website analytics and search trends. This section will continue to evolve as new resource needs are identified, ensuring that high-demand topics remain easy to find.
New Accessibility Tools Improve User Experience
As part of its ongoing commitment to inclusivity, the City of Arroyo Grande has also added a new accessibility feature to its website to help ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This upgrade improves usability for individuals with disabilities and allows all users to navigate City services with greater ease.
The accessibility feature-represented by an icon of a person inside a blue circle at the bottom right corner of the website-offers a variety of options, including text enlargement, color inversion, color adjustments for individuals with color blindness, and other tools designed to enhance readability and navigation.
This accessibility tool has also been added to the City's Recreation Services registration platform, providing improved access for individuals registering for City recreation programs and activities.
"We recognize the importance of making our online resources accessible to everyone," said City Manager Matthew Downing. "This enhancement aligns with our commitment to inclusivity and ensures that members of our community can easily access important City information."
Questions regarding the refreshed website and/or requests for assistance with the new accessibility feature can be directed to the Legislative & Information Services Department at 805-473-5400.
