DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque's 30-voice touring choir will travel to Alaska in May to perform "Unclouded Day," a one-hour program of sacred and secular styles including classical, world, pop, and folk music.
"Unclouded Day" will feature the UD Concert Choir, UD Chamber Singers, and UD Treble Choir. Kristen Eby, MM, associate professor of music, director of choral activities, and head of the Department of Fine and Performing Arts at UD, will conduct the concert. Jill Klinebriel, adjunct instructor of music at UD, will serve as the accompanist.
A freewill offering will be accepted. In addition to the public concerts listed above, students will also perform three private concerts.
UD's touring choir is composed of undergraduate singers from a variety of majors - music, aviation, education, and more. The choir tours annually and in the last 20 years has performed in 38 states, Puerto Rico, and Canada.
