City Council to hold public hearing on fiscal year 2027 proposed property tax levy
The Iowa City City Council will hold a public hearing on the fiscal year 2027 proposed property tax levy at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Emma Harvat Hall in City Hall, 410 E. Washington St. The notice for the meeting can be viewed online.
During the public hearing, any resident or taxpayer may present objections to, or arguments in favor of the proposed tax levy. After the public hearing, the Council will set the date and time for a public hearing on the fiscal year 2027 proposed city budget and authorize the City Clerk to publish the notice of that public hearing.
