Bore #1, Tuesday January 6th, Bore #3, Wednesday January 7th and Bore #1, Thursday January 8th 10:00 PM to 4:30 AM

Alameda and Contra Costa Counties - Caltrans has scheduled overnight closures of Bores 1and 2 of the Caldecott Tunnel on State Route 24 (SR-24) for Data Collection. All work is weather dependent.

Closure Schedule of SR-24:Bore

  • #1 Closure EB SR-24
    • Tuesday, January 6, 2026 -closed from 10:00 PM to 4:30 AM
  • Bore #3 Closure WB SR-24
    • Wednesday, January 7, 2026 -closed from 10:00 PM to 4:30 AM
  • Bore #2 Closure EB SR-24
    • Thursday, January 8, 2026 -closed from 10:00 PM to 4:30 AM

During the work, all other bores in each direction will remain open.

Traffic Control Measures:
Changeable message signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow extra time. Please drive with caution through the construction zone. Slow for the Cone Zone.
