Initial Report: Train Derailment near Minot, ND (Montana Division)

On Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at approximately 03:35 A.M. CDT, we received a preliminary report of a train derailment near Minot, ND which affected the main track. BNSF field personnel responded and assessed the derailment site. The estimated opening of the main track has not been determined at this time.
If your loaded shipment(s) were directly involved in the incident, a member of the BNSF's Load and Ride Solutions team will contact your company's representative within 24 hours of the incident with relevant information and next steps.
