GOVERNOR MEYER ORDERS THE LOWERING OF FLAGS IN CONCURRENCE WITH WHITE HOUSE

WILMINGTON -Today, in concurrence with President Trump's proclamation regarding the passing of Charlie Kirk, Governor Matt Meyer has ordered the United States and Delaware flags at state buildings and facilities to be flown at half-staff beginning immediately and ending Sunday at 6:00 p.m. ET.

Governor Meyer issued the following statement following news of Mr. Kirk's death:

"As Americans, we can and should be able to debate ideas vigorously without turning to violence, because violence is never the answer. Lauren and I are praying for the loved ones of Charlie Kirk, who are now faced with an unspeakable tragedy. We condemn these actions in the strongest possible manner."
