CBS Sports and TNT Sports Tip Off a Massive 2026-27 College Basketball Season

College basketball is back, and CBS Sports and TNT Sports are bringing fans along for the ride from the first tip on November 2 through the NCAA Men's National Championship and "One Shining Moment" on April 5.

Together, the networks will present 465 games throughout the 2026-27 season, including 390 regular-season and conference tournament matchups before culminating with all 75 games of the 2027 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament across CBS, TBS, TNT and truTV.

The expansive lineup brings together teams from 27 conferences, with national powerhouses, rising contenders, marquee rivalries and championship rematches filling the calendar. Fans can also watch throughout the season across platforms, with all regular-season games airing on CBS streaming live on Paramount+ and games airing on TNT Sports networks streaming live on HBO Max.

College Basketball's Biggest Names Take Center Stage

The road to March Madness will feature many of the biggest programs in the country, with teams from the Men's AP Top 25 preseason poll making 71 regular-season appearances across CBS Sports and TNT Sports networks.

No. 15 Gonzaga leads all ranked teams with 10 appearances, followed by No. 4 UConn with nine, No. 13 St. John's with eight, No. 5 Arizona with seven and No. 6 Michigan State with six.

One of the season's most anticipated rematches comes early. On November 6, Michigan and UConn will meet on TNT in a rematch of the 2026 Men's National Championship Game. The matchup is part of a strong showing from last season's Final Four, with all four teams slated for a combined 24 appearances throughout the season.

The marquee matchups continue across CBS, with Kentucky and Indiana meeting in primetime on November 20, Michigan State taking on Arkansas in the return of the CBS Sports Thanksgiving Classic on November 26, and No. 2 Duke hosting Pitt in Durham on January 9.

Then, on December 19, CBS will deliver a blockbuster college basketball tripleheader. The CBS Sports Classic returns to Madison Square Garden with Kansas facing Ohio State and Kentucky taking on North Carolina, followed by Gonzaga vs. Michigan State.

TNT Sports Tips Off With Big East and Big 12 Heavyweights

TNT Sports will deliver 82 games throughout the season, including 67 men's matchups anchored by 50 Big East games and 15 from the Big 12.

The action begins opening night on November 2 with the TNT Sports Hall of Fame Series Las Vegas, featuring a doubleheader of perennial contenders as Purdue faces Gonzaga and UCLA takes on Arizona.

The schedule will put Big East powerhouses in the spotlight throughout the season, with UConn appearing nine times and St. John's eight. The two will meet head-to-head on March 2 as conference play heats up ahead of the postseason.

Women's college basketball will also be part of the TNT Sports slate, with TNT and truTV presenting seven UConn women's games as the No. 2 Huskies pursue a 13th national championship.

A Record-Setting Slate on CBS Sports Network

CBS Sports Network will deliver its largest Division I college basketball schedule yet, with 273 games during the 2026-27 season. That includes a network-record 39 women's games.

The schedule features 16 appearances by teams in the Men's AP Top 25 preseason poll, including Arizona, Houston, Gonzaga, Iowa State, Texas Tech, USC and BYU.

As March approaches, CBS Sports Network will also become a major destination for conference tournament action. Ten automatic bids to the Men's and Women's NCAA Tournaments will be awarded across eight days, with championship games spanning Conference USA, the Coastal Athletic Association, Patriot League, Summit League, Mountain West and more.

The Road to March Madness Runs Through CBS Sports and TNT Sports

When conference tournament season arrives, the stakes get even higher.

Across CBS Sports and TNT Sports coverage, 16 automatic bids to the 2027 NCAA Men's and Women's Tournaments will be on the line, including the Big Ten Men's and Women's Championships on CBS.

CBS Sports will present the Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament Semifinals and Championship for the 29th time, while the Pac-12 Men's Championship returns to CBS for the first time in 15 years. The Missouri Valley, Mountain West and Atlantic 10 Men's Championships will also air on CBS.

And when March arrives, attention turns to the biggest stage in college basketball. Coverage of the 2027 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament begins with the Selection Show on March 14 on CBS, leading into all 75 tournament games across CBS, TBS, TNT and truTV.

CBS will cap off the season with the NCAA Men's Final Four National Semifinals on Saturday, April 3 and the Men's National Championship on Monday, April 5.

Now, the road to March begins, with a full slate of games standing between the season's first tip and one team's "One Shining Moment."
