University Street To Close At Pioneer Parkway Intersection on Wednesday, July 23

Beginning at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, July 23, all lanes of N University Street will close to all traffic at the intersection of W Pioneer Parkway to W Candletree Drive. The closure is necessary as part of the Pioneer Parkway and University Street Intersection Reconstruction Project and is expected to last three weeks, weather permitting.

Business Access from W Candletree Drive to the intersection of W Pioneer Parkway will be maintained.

Major delays can be expected in the area. Drivers should utilize the marked detour route and use extra caution in the area.

Lane Closures

• Both northbound lanes of N University Street will be closed from W Candletree Drive to the intersection W Pioneer Parkway.

• The left and right turn lanes on N University Street onto W Pioneer Parkway will be closed.

• Both southbound lanes of N University Street will be closed from the intersection of W Pioneer Parkway to W Candletree Drive.

• The right turn lane on W Pioneer Parkway onto southbound N University Street will be closed.

Detour Routes

• Northbound N University Street through traffic should utilize W Willow Knolls Drive to N Allen Road. Northbound on N Allen Road, motorists should travel east on W Altorfer Drive.

• Southbound N University Street through traffic should utilize W Altorfer Drive to N Allen Road. Southbound on N Allen Road, motorists should travel west on W Willow Knolls Drive.

• Westbound traffic on W Pioneer Parkway needing to travel south on N University Street should travel south on N Allen Road and then west on W Willow Knolls Drive.
