Building on the success of the inaugural sold-out Minnesota Cooperative Summit, five statewide leaders are coming together to host the second annual summit from July 28-29 at the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minn.
CoMinnesota, Minnesota Farmers Union, The College of St. Scholastica, Northspan and Arrowhead Regional Development Commission are collaborating to present the event, which will celebrate Minnesota's rich history of cooperation, showcase the wide variety of co-op businesses, and invite new voices to foster resilience and opportunity in local communities.
"The cooperative model has helped Minnesotans come together to solve challenges and stay resilient for generations," said Katie Marty, program manager at CoMinnesota. "This year's summit will explore how cooperation can meet our current moment by creating solutions that keep wealth and decision-making rooted in local communities and economies."
At the summit, attendees will have an opportunity to:
NCBA CLUSA president and CEO Doug O'Brien will deliver the keynote address, "Cooperatively Meeting the Moment."
The event is designed for both those deeply rooted in cooperative work and those exploring the business model for the first time. Attendees will hear real-life success stories, discover cooperative strategies, tour local Duluth co-ops, and connect across sectors and geographies.
