Employment Opportunity - Iroquois County Highway Department
IROQUOIS COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT
MAINTENANCE WORKER I
Hourly position under the general supervision of the County Engineer.
Duties:
- On call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergencies
- Repair and maintain roadways with County equipment such as: cold mix trailer and shovel, spray patcher, and tandem axle dump truck with attachments
- Operate mower on County ROW
- Remove brush on County ROW
- Install or replace traffic control signs
- Remove snow with a dump truck using plow with wing
- Maintain equipment as needed
- Perform other work as required or assigned
Requirements:
- Must have a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Must be able to pass a background check
- High School Diploma
