Women Veterans Conference

On Tuesday, October 7, MVAA made a decision to cancel the Women Veterans Conference scheduled for Oct. 16-18 in Grand Rapids. In doing so, we did not engage with the appropriate leadership or stakeholders and, for that, we sincerely apologize.

We are grateful for the overwhelming level of interest in this event and recognize how important it is to create spaces where women veterans can connect, grow and feel supported. We want to be clear: we made a mistake and we are committed to doing better. Our dedication to supporting and uplifting the women veteran community has not wavered and we are taking meaningful steps to rebuilt trust.

We are working with the venue to reschedule the conference, and we encourage women veterans to stay connected with the agency for updates.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to MVAA at [email protected] and we will make sure your concerns are addressed.

Again, we offer our sincere apologies for the agency's actions over the last week.

Sincerely,

MVAA Leadership
