If you're looking for guidance, a sounding board or the chance to share your experience, the Mentoring@CERN programme is for you. The programme is run by the LHC Early Career Scientists Fora and CERN's Women in Technology (WIT) group, with registrations for the 2026 round opening on 1 February.
You don't need to work in the LHC experiments to take part, and there are no restrictions on age, gender, contract type or career stage. If you're associated with CERN as a staff member, fellow, student, user, participant or contractor, you can take part as a mentor, mentee or both.
Mentors and mentees are matched individually, based on their goals, interests and preferences. This year, mentees will even be able to view anonymised mentor profiles before submitting their final application.
Registration will be open from 1 to 28 February, and the mentoring round will run from April to December, with flexible meeting schedules to suit your needs.
Curious? For more information, watch the recording of the online information session held on 26 January or check out the Mentoring@CERN website. Sign up to take the next step in your CERN journey.
