This fall, the Red Tab Foundation (RTF), a nonprofit dedicated to helping LS&Co. employees through unexpected financial emergencies, hosted its 18th annual (Run) for Red Tab. Over the course of two weeks, employees from every LS&Co. region around the world came together to participate in runs, walks, yoga and spin classes, hikes, guided group exercises around home offices and more.
By the end of the campaign, over 1,200 donors and participants had raised $185,000 for the foundation.
Through (Run) for Red Tab, employees are brought together to continue to support their teammates and make a difference in each other's lives, near and far.
The event looked a little different depending on where in the world you were. At LS&Co.'s HQ in San Francisco, CEO Michelle Gass kicked off the day with opening remarks and led a group run along the waterfront, while other employees enjoyed a group yoga class at Levi's® Plaza. Over in Singapore, Nuholt Huisamen, LS&Co.'s managing director for East Asia Pacific, hosted a group exercise. The team in Mexico hosted a dance off with over hundred distribution center workers, while teams in China and Chile hula hooped and went on team hikes. In Europe, teams played pickleball in Barcelona, did yoga in Brussels, went on a bike tour in Paris and much more.
The help is much needed. RTF delivered $2.8 million in support to employees and retirees last year, and in just the past few weeks the foundation has been supporting the LS&Co. community through hurricanes in the U.S., flooding in Thailand and other natural disasters and emergencies.
"The (Run) for Red Tab is one of my favorite days of the year. The way this event connects us all, no matter where we work around the globe, truly brings our value of empathy to life" said John Booker, Philanthropy Director for RTF. "Thank you to everyone who broke a sweat while giving back to our LS&Co. community."
