HONOLULU - The parking lot at Aliʻiōlani Hale (the Supreme Court building of the state Judiciary) will be closed while state crews work to remove a banyan tree damaged by the weekend storm's high winds. The tree is cracked and leaning with exposed roots. The state Department of Accounting and General Services (DAGS) maintains the trees at the state Judiciary. It consulted an arborist on Monday who determined the tree needs to be removed. The work will start Tuesday morning and last up to three days.

Alternative public parking is available at ʻIolani Palace and in the underground garage of Kalanimoku Building at 1151 Punchbowl Street. DAGS appreciates the public's understanding and patience.
