The Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) is proud to highlight the many ways Team DDS continues to serve communities beyond the Agency's mission of providing secure driver and identity credentials. Through volunteer efforts across the state, DDS Team Members regularly donate their time and talents to support charitable organizations and community initiatives.
At DDS, giving back is part of the culture-so much so that Team Members proudly say, "DDS Cares!"
Recently, DDS Team Members in Douglasvillepartnered with Meals on a Mission and Hands On Atlanta to help distribute food and essential supplies to individuals and families in need. Their efforts helped ensure community members received much-needed support.
DDS Team Members in Savannahspent time with students at a local high school, answering questions about teen driving, the steps to obtain a learner's permit, and how to earn a first driver's license. The visit provided students with helpful guidance on safe driving and navigating the licensing process.
"These volunteer efforts reflect the heart of our Agency," said DDS Commissioner Angelique B. McClendon. "Our Team Members are deeply committed to the communities they serve. Whether it's helping provide food to families, supporting our veterans, or educating young drivers, we are proud to give back. At DDS, service extends far beyond our facilities-because DDS truly cares."
Across Georgia, DDS Team Members continue to identify opportunities to support their communities during their personal time, demonstrating a strong spirit of service and compassion. Through these ongoing efforts, Team DDS remains dedicated not only to serving customers with excellence and respect, but also to strengthening the communities we call home.
