The AmeriCorps and AmeriCorps VISTA programs are a network of national service programs that engages more than 200,000 Americans each year by helping local organizations expand capacity and make change. AmeriCorps members make a vital impact in the community through action and leadership, providing services such as youth education interventions, college and career supports to young adults, connecting families to resources, and helping meet other critical needs in the community.

Serving with AmeriCorps State and National can propel your personal development and career path while making a difference in your community.

City of Las Vegas AmeriCorps VISTA Program

Looking to kickstart your professional career? Serve for a year with our organization by tackling chronic absenteeism and literacy to generate resources and empower individuals and communities. Build your resume as you coordinate administrative projects, such as data management, communications, marketing materials development, and more.

We currently recruiting for two members in the following areas:

Education Support

  • Chronic Absenteeism Program Assistant VISTA
  • Workforce Development Assistant VISTA

Eligibility and Benefits

Eligibility

  • 18 years of age or older with a college degree or some college education
  • U.S. Citizen, National or Permanent Legal Resident

Benefits

  • Up to $24,962 living allowance for a one-year service term*
  • Education Award up to $7,395 upon completion of service year*
  • Federal student loan forbearance or deferment
  • Ongoing training and professional development.
