Blink Imaging Laser Scanner Awarded iF Design Award 2026

KORNTAL, Germany, June 25, 2026 - The Blink Imaging Laser Scanner from FARO® INSIGHT has been awarded the iF Design Award 2026, recognizing the product's functional design, usability, and innovation within the digital reality space.

Selected from more than 10,000 entries from 68 countries, Blink received awards in the Product Design and Industry categories. Launched in 2025, Blink empowers professionals to scan and capture high-quality, measurable data. Its ease of use and one-button guided scanning workflows eliminate complexity, ensuring accurate 3D scans, 360° photos, and insights into facilities and assets.

The recognition highlights Blink's accessible workflow design and streamlined data processing, enabling professionals to turn 3D scans into actionable insights, including floor plan generation and object recognition.

"Blink is an intuitive 3D imaging laser scanner designed for professionals of all expertise levels to capture, process, and share high-quality reality data with minimal training," read an excerpt on iF Design Award's webpage.

FARO INSIGHT DVP of Innovation and Technology, Oliver Zweigle, said the award validates and reaffirms the accessibility and usability of Blink.

"Receiving such an accolade, where you are judged by fellow professionals, validates our goal behind introducing Blink to the world, which was to reimagine reality capture workflows, and more importantly, make it more accessible across expertise levels, "said Zweigle.

Designed for professionals across multiple disciplines and experience levels, Blink delivers intuitive, high-quality scene and site documentation, and actionable insights for confident decision-making.

When paired with the Stream App, professionals can view 3D scans and registration data in real-time, providing valuable information and streamlining site-to-insight workflows.

With ongoing software and workflow enhancements, Blink continues to evolve through regular updates designed to further improve processing and scanning speed, usability, and the quality of insights and reality capture data.

Widely regarded as one of the world's most recognized design honors, the iF Design Award has been a mainstay since 1954 and is presented by the independent iF Design Foundation in Germany.

The award has recognized products that combine innovation, functionality, and impactful user-centered design, with this year's installment featuring an international jury of 129 independent design experts.
