AAOIFI invites nominations for Public Interest Monitoring Consultative Committee for the 2025-2029 term

The Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI) is pleased to announce the call for nominations for its Public Interest Monitoring Consultative Committee (PIMCC / the committee) for the 2025-2029 term.

Established by a strategic decision of AAOIFI Board of Trustees (the BOT), the PIMCC serves as an advisory body aimed at aligning AAOIFI's standard-setting practices with global benchmarks. Its primary role is to advise the BOT and AAOIFI's technical boards-excluding Shari'ah Board-on the organisation's responsiveness to the public interest in its standard development process, covering accounting, auditing, governance and ethics.

The committee is currently completing its first term and comprises seven members and one observer. In its 43rd meeting held on 20 February 2025, the BOT resolved to expand the committee to 13 members to ensure broader and more diverse representation across markets and stakeholder groups.

AAOIFI Nominations Committee invites regulators, supervisory authorities, Islamic financial institutions, and other stakeholders around the globe to submit nominations of professional experts (including regulators representatives and independent experts).

The last day for submitting nominations is 10 October 2025, via email to [email protected], online or by mail to the AAOIFI Secretariat.
