Honor loved ones, celebrate cherished traditions, and connect with neighbors at the City of Kirkland's annual Día de los Muertos celebration on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Peter Kirk Community Center (352 Kirkland Ave.).

"As a Certified Welcoming City, Kirkland is committed to creating a community where everyone feels a sense of belonging," said Councilmember Shilpa Prem. "Celebrations like Día de los Muertos bring that commitment to life by honoring cultural traditions, sharing stories, and connecting neighbors."

Enjoy performances by Baile Folklore Colibri, Danza Monarca, and the Gema Choir. Event sponsor Cafecito Mexican Bakery will provide traditional pan de muerto (bread of the dead), aguas frescas, and other refreshments.

Día de Los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a tradition that honors and remembers loved ones who have passed away. Through music, art, food, and shared memories, the celebration brings generations together and keeps the memories of loved ones alive.

Parking is limited at the Peter Kirk Community Center. Attendees are encouraged to carpool, bike, or take transit.
