Sparks, NV - The following are highlights from the April 7, 2025, Sparks City Council Budget Workshop.

• Council approved the proposed City of Sparks Capital Improvements Plan for FY 26 through FY 30.
• Council directed the city manager to provide additional financial information to adjust Fiscal Policy #5 from 78% to 75%, create a new fiscal policy to add $250,000 per year into a road fund, increase Waste Management's franchise fee from 5% to 10%, and creating a new policy #8 to increase City fees annually, by percentages to be determined at future meetings.
