Planned Roadwork for Northwest Missouri, Nov. Dec. 15-21…

St. Joseph, Mo. - The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work the Missouri Department of Transportation has planned in the Northwest Missouri region for the week of Dec. 15-21.

There may be moving operations throughout the region, in addition to the work mentioned below. Inclement weather may cause schedule changes in some of the planned work. Check the MoDOT Traveler Information Map at http://traveler.modot.org, or download the app for updated information.

Andrew County

Business 71 - Roadside work/ditching at Pearl Street, Dec. 18, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The roadway will be narrowed to one lane.

Atchison County

Route F - CLOSED at the Rock Creek Bridge for a bridge rehabilitation project through January 2026. (Contractor: Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc.)

Routes AA & Y - Shoulder work from U.S. Route 136 to U.S. Route 59, Dec. 15-19.

Buchanan County

Gene Field Road Bridge - CLOSED due to damage from being struck by an oversized load. The bridge is scheduled to be let for contractor bidding in January 2026. Caldwell County

Route PP - CLOSED at the Mid-Fork Chariton River Bridge and Chariton River Overflow Bridge for replacement projects through the Northwest Bridge Bundle through March 2026. (Capital-Horner & Shifrin) *1

Route KK - CLOSED at the Puzzle Creek Bridge for a replacement project through the Northwest Bridge Bundle through mid-March 2026. (Capital-Horner & Shifrin) *1

Route O - CLOSED at the Bee Creek Bridge for a replacement project through the Northwest Bridge Bundle through April 2026. (Capital-Horner & Shifrin) *1

Route E - CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Route AA to 370th Street, Dec. 15, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route P - CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Route ZZ to Route TT, Dec. 18, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route P - CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Route BB to U.S. Route 69, Dec. 19, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Mercer County

U.S. Route 136 - Bridge maintenance at the Weldon River Bridge, Dec. 15-18, 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily. The bridge will be narrowed to one lane with temporary traffic signals guiding motorists through the work zone.

Nodaway County

Route UU - CLOSED for pavement repairs from Bluebird Trail to County Road 110th, Dec. 15-17, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

Sullivan County

Route T - CLOSED at the East Locust Creek bridge due to deterioration. The bridge is scheduled to be replaced in the spring of 2026 through the Northwest Bridge Bundle. https://www.modot.org/projects/northwest-missouri-design-build-bridge-bundle
