The Public Service Commission has scheduled an in-person and/or virtual customer public hearing on February 25th, 2026, in Docket No. 2025-250-E, which involves a joint application filed by Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC and Central Electric Cooperative, Inc. for a Certificate of Environmental Compatibility and Public Convenience and Necessity for the construction and operation of a new combined cycle generating plant in Anderson County, S.C.
There will be two sessions of this public hearing on Wednesday, February 25th, 2026, during which the Commission will hear from customers of Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC--one at 10 a.m. and one at 6 p.m. Preregistration is now available for both sessions.
Please note that if you testified at the hearing in Anderson on 2.2.26, you are not eligible to testify at this hearing.
