Seawolves sprint to season-bests

Joshua Caleb won the 60 (6.59) and finished second in the 200 (21.08).

Lacie Simmons and Liv Heite each ran 8.88 in the 60 hurdles.

Marc Mercier finished fourth (23-5.5/7.15) in the men's long jump, and Mya Campbell placed 29th (17-4.25/5.29) in the women's jump. Her jump ranks sixth all-time at UAA.

Marc Mercier finished fourth in the 60 (7.00), and James Dixon placed seventh (7.12).

AJ Szewczyk ran 8.88 to finish 11th in the 60 hurdles, and Ethan Stiller placed 14th in the 400 (50.65).

Vivien Liessfeld finished 10th in the pentathlon (3,300 points), and Lucia Garcia was seventh in the 800 (2:21.39).

Hunter Taddy ran a school-record time of 1:24.21 to finish 10th in the 600. Jesse Mandujano ran under the previous record with a time of 1:26.57 to finish 16th. Taddy finished 13th in the 800 (1:58.70).

Jessica Chisar finished fifth in the 600 in a time of 1:34.24, the second-fastest time in school history. She scored 2,942 points in the pentathlon to place 15th.

The men's 4x400 finished eighth (3:31.44) and the women placed 14th (4:01.01).

UAA will compete at the UW Invite and Inland Northwest Invitational Jan. 31-Feb. 1.
