Kee's Chocolates Coming to The Durst Organization's Historic Front Street

NEW YORK, NY (April 21, 2026) - The Durst Organization announced that artisanal chocolatier Kee's Chocolates signed a lease for a new retail shop at 222 Front Street at Historic Front Street in Lower Manhattan. The lease marks a return to a physical space for the beloved local chocolate brand.

"The historic charm of Front Street is perfectly complemented by the small businesses operating shops and restaurants on the block. Kee's Chocolates will add to the unique mix, and reinforces the retail leasing momentum in Lower Manhattan driven by a growing residential population," said Jody Durst, President of The Durst Organization.

Kee's Chocolates is known for its handcrafted confections made fresh daily, including its signature bonbons, macarons, and fruit-based sweets. The new Front Street location will feature an open kitchen concept with clear glass frontage, allowing customers to view and experience the chocolate-making process firsthand. With a small, highly specialized team, production is guided by more than two decades of craftsmanship and precision.

"This new shop is incredibly meaningful to me," said Kee's Chocolate Founder Kee Ling Tong. "After focusing on our online business in recent years, I'm excited to return to a physical space and reconnect with customers in a neighborhood that feels both peaceful and vibrant. Historic Front Street's quaint cobblestones and proximity to the water give it a distinct, intimate character where it felt like the right place to begin this next chapter."

The Durst Organization has assembled a mix of neighborhood-serving retail and destination concepts on Historic Front Street including Seaport Pilates NYC, Peck Slip Social, Il Brigante, SUteiShi, and Seaport Paw, serving more than 70,000 residents and 233,000 office workers in Lower Manhattan.

Historic Front Street is a renowned redevelopment project spanning nearly an entire city block. The Durst Organization preserved 11 landmarked buildings while introducing three newly constructed ones, spanning almost an entire city block on Front Street. The site features 95 residential units and street-level retail. The renovation and revitalization of this area honor the district's historical charm, scale, and character.

The Durst Organization was represented in-house by Karen Rose and by Zach Nathan, Brandon Berger, and Hunter Lazan of KSR. Kee's Chocolates was represented by Emily Davido and Skye Taylor of Lantern Real Estate Partners.
