Four Texas Health Hospitals Rank in Top 10 Among Dallas-Fort Worth's Best

ARLINGTON, Texas - Four Texas Health Resources hospitals are among the top 10 best in Dallas-Fort Worth for high performance in multiple areas of care, according to annual rankings by U.S. News & World Report. Texas Health hospitals received a total of 68 High Performing ratings in 26 adult specialties, common procedures and conditions across 15 entities.

The Southwestern Health Resources network - which aligns the strengths of The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center's William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital with those of Texas Health - has five of the ten top-ranked hospitals in Dallas-Fort Worth.

In addition to UT Southwestern at No. 1, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas ranked No. 4, Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth tied for a No. 5 ranking, and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano and Texas Health Huguley Hospital Fort Worth South^* tied and were ranked No. 7. The patient-centered, clinically integrated network of 31 hospital locations and more than 7,500 physicians and other providers cares for millions of individuals across 16 counties in North Texas every year.

Additionally, Texas Health Dallas earned national High Performing ranking in Rehabilitation, and Texas Health Southwest and Texas Health Plano earned High Performing rankings in orthopedics.

U.S. News evaluated nearly 4,500 hospitals across 14 adult specialties and 23 procedures and conditions; only 16% of evaluated hospitals earned a Best Hospitals designation.

To determine the Best Hospitals, U.S. News analyzed each facility's performance based on objective measures such as risk-adjusted mortality rates, preventable complications and patient experience. The Best Hospitals Specialty Rankings methodology and Procedures & Conditions Ratings methodology measure patient outcomes using data from more than 800 million records of patient care.

Texas Health Dallas - Ranked No. 4 in Dallas-Fort Worth and tied at No. 16 in Texas. Nationally ranked as High Performing for rehabilitation under adult specialties and No. 5 in Dallas-Fort Worth in rehabilitation.
