Desperate for Money, Drazan Accepts Donations from Extreme Right-Wing Billionaires

Portland, OR - On Friday, MAGA Republican Christine Drazan reported a $25,000 donation from the infamous Koch Network after appearing on FOX News, desperately pleading with the network's audience for money to save her struggling campaign. The Republican mega-donors are notorious for funding a plethora of right-wing candidates and clauses. Given that they platform those who push climate change denial, xenophobia, and other policies that hurt working families, it's unsurprising that they'd support a far-right candidate like Drazan.

For decades, the Koch Network has made national headlines for their unscrupulous behavior, which has included:

• Allegedly stealing oil from leases on Indian reservations.
• Bribing government officials in order to secure lucrative contracts..
• Creating multiple environmental and public health crises.
• Pushing anti-union legislation, which Republican state governments adopt with little to no changes.
• Advocating for unlimited anonymous political spending in order to buy elections.
• Bankrolling campaigns for election deniers.

"This donation confirms what Oregonians already know: Christine Drazan is ready to work for ultra-conservative corporate interests, not Oregon families," said Democratic Party of Oregon Chair Nathan Soltz. "The fact that she's accepting money from the Koch brothers shows voters who Drazan really is. When she's desperate for donations, she'll sell out to the most extreme and corrupt donors if the price is right. And if she's elected, she'll sell Oregon out too."
