Business Insider welcomes two new hires: Megan Arnold joins as Deputy Editor of BI Live, Business Insider's live events business, and Sara Chernikoff joins as Senior Editor of the Insights & Analytics team.
Megan Arnold will help develop and curate a slate of events that bring Business Insider's distinctive journalism to life through interactive formats. Arnold's arrival marks the next chapter of BI Live's mission: turning our journalism into moments that connect decision-makers, spark honest dialogue, and bring Business Insider's reporting on business, tech, and innovation to life. She will report to Kim Last, Editorial Director of BI Live.
An award-winning producer and multimedia leader, Arnold has deep experience across television, digital video, podcasts, and live events. Most recently, she led Fortune's first video news desk and helped launch its fast-growing podcast business. Before that, she produced for CBSNews.com, MoneyWatch.com, and The Early Show. A Kansas City native and University of Kansas grad, Arnold remains an avid Kansas sports fan. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband, two daughters, and one mischievous cat.
Sara Chernikoff joins Business Insider as Senior Editor for the Insights & Analytics team, where she will help shape editorial strategy through data-informed storytelling and audience insight. In this role, Chernikoff will partner with our journalists across the newsroom to surface trends, uncover what resonates with readers, and identify opportunities to grow and deepen engagement. She will report to Michael Ejigu, Vice President of Insights & Analytics.
Sara joins Business Insider from USA Today, where she was a data and graphics reporter covering breaking news, affordability, and demographic trends. Her story "Visualizing death and destruction in Gaza," earned an Editor & Publisher Award for Best Use of Data/Infographics.
Originally from Maryland, Sara is relocating to New York, where she looks forward to exploring the city after four years of road-tripping around the Pacific Northwest, skiing in the Cascades, and swimming in Lake Washington.
