There's nothing like gathering around a table laden with delicious food and California wines. To make holiday menu planning easy, California Wines created a free e-book, "Celebrate the Holidays with California Wines." Available by visiting the Discover California Wines holiday landing page, the book features simple-to-prepare recipes inspired by California wine country. Each dish features California-grown ingredients and a Golden State wine to match.
Highlights include the Raspberry Port Sparkler cocktail - guaranteed to kick off your holiday fête in style - made with luscious California port, bright raspberries and sparkling wine; the Deviled Egg Trio, an elegant match for California rosé or sparkling wine featuring smoked trout, caviar and harissa fillings; a bright and tangy Winter Beet and Citrus Salad with Dates and Almonds, which pairs beautifully with California Chardonnay; and Turkey with Wild Rice and Kale Stuffing paired with California Zinfandel. For dessert, whip up a batch of No-Bake Mini Pumpkin Pie Cups, layered with silky pumpkin mousse and served alongside a lightly sweet California sparkler.
