Kansas City area maintenance work for August 10-14

LEE'S SUMMIT, MO - The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from August 10 through 14. All work is weather permitting.

JACKSON COUNTY

U.S. Highway 71 southbound beneath Admiral Blvd: right lane closed on Thursday, Aug. 13, from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. for pavement work.

JOHNSON COUNTY

Route KK between Route O and end of state maintenance: road closed on Monday, Aug. 10, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for pavement overlay work.

Route JJ between Missouri Highway 13 and SW 401 Rd.: road closed on Tuesday, Aug. 11, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for pavement overlay work.

Route PP: road closed for pavement overlay work from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily.

  • Wednesday, Aug. 12: between Missouri Highway 13 and SE 371 Rd.
  • Thursday, Aug. 13: between SE 371 Rd. and SE 601 Rd.

LAFAYETTE COUNTY

Missouri Route 13 between Interstate 70 and Route YY: flagging operation with pilot car from Monday, Aug. 10 until Thursday, Aug. 13, from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pavement repair work.

PETTIS COUNTY

Route Y between Route D and Quisenberry Rd.: flagging operations on Monday, Aug.10, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for seal coating.

Route Z between Route N and Cooper Co. line: flagging operations on Tuesday, Aug. 11, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for seal coating.

Route N between Route J and end of state maintenance: flagging operations on Wednesday, Aug. 12, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for seal coating.

Route NN between Missouri Route 127 and Johnson Co. line: flagging operations on Thursday, Aug. 13, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for seal coating.

PLATTE COUNTY

Route B between Missouri Route 92 and Route Z in Edgerton: flagging operations from Monday, Aug. 10 through Thursday, Aug. 13, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pavement work.

MoDOT maintenance crews often perform other tasks throughout the work week such as pothole patching, litter pick-up, sign repairs, brush cutting, and other operations that are not included above as they pose limited impacts to traffic.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
