The City of Pompano Beach invites residents, neighbors, and visitors to come together in unity and reflection for the Annual National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 7, at noon. The gathering will take place at the American flagpole in front of City Hall, located at 100 West Atlantic Boulevard.

Mayor Rex Hardin will lead the observance, offering the community an opportunity to join others across the nation in a shared moment of prayer, hope, and contemplation. This event is part of a longstanding national tradition that brings people of all faiths together in a spirit of connection and purpose.

Established in 1952 through a joint resolution of Congress and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman, the National Day of Prayer is observed each year on the first Thursday of May. It stands as a meaningful reminder of the unity, compassion, and resilience that shape our nation.

Residents and guests are encouraged to take part in this special occasion celebrating faith, community, and country.
