Southern University will launch its inaugural Academic Homecoming beginning Friday, March 28, through Tuesday, April 1. Academic Homecoming provides an opportunity for alumni, stakeholders, and the community to reconnect, engage with students and faculty, and celebrate 145 years of Southern University's rich history.
Several events taking place during Academic Homecoming include donation campaigns such as Jag-A-Thon, hosted by Southern University Athletics, and Jazzin' Arts on the Bluff, hosted by the College of Humanities and Interdisciplinary Studies. More interactive events include Discover Southern U Day*, National Academic Signing Day, Churching with the Chancellor, Mentoring Monday, and the Deans' Roundtable.
Alumni, students, and supporters are encouraged to take part in the festivities and continue shaping the legacy of Southern University for generations to come.
