2026 Budget Hearing info

Please note that the Atchison County budget hearing will be held on Sunday, September 21 at 10:15am in the Commission Room, Courthouse lower level, to meet statutory requirements. State law mandates a minimum of 10 days between the publication of the hearing notice and the hearing itself, as well as an additional 10 days between the hearing and the final certification of the budget. Holding the hearing on Sunday is solely to comply with these legal timelines and ensure the budget process remains on track.
