The Bakery Cart opens, Jan. 24
The Bakery Cart will be open Thursday and Friday, 11 a.m.-12 p.m., starting Friday, Jan. 24. The bakery cart will be open for the first half of the semester.
Online ordering opens at 10:45 a.m. and closes at 11 a.m. Orders will be ready for pick up starting at 11 a.m.
In-person purchases will be available starting at 11:10 a.m. If folks miss out online, they have a chance to grab popular goodies in person (example: lots of ham and cheese croissant and pretzels with cheese)!
Every week, the Bakery Cart will have different savory specials made by the lab aide and intern. She will be making a bagel breakfast sandwich on Thursdays and a focaccia sandwich special on Fridays. The bagel sandwich will be the same week to week, but the focaccia will change each week.
This week's Friday (Jan. 24) special will be: The Sunrise Sandwich with roasted garlic, fresh herb, and cheddar cheese focaccia with a fried egg, smokey bacon strips, greens, shaved onion and sliced tomato. As usual, there will be a limited amount of items.
All orders need to be picked up by 12 p.m. This is a classroom/lab, so being prompt helps free up the lab aides to prepare for the next day.
